New Mexico Tech has a legacy of taking education outside the classroom and providing students with opportunities to engage in hands-on research. Undergraduate research experience puts education into practice, allowing students to get a feel for what lies ahead in their field of study and graduate with marketable skills. Participating in research also promotes students' investigative and collaboration skills and improves student retention by fostering early connections between students and faculty.
